Carmelo Tartamella Start playing the drums at age 10, then moved to guitar.
From an early age listening to the music of Django Reinhardt and the blues.
From 16 years, began studying jazz with Maestro Nino Donzelli. In 1992 he graduated
in jazz guitar and functional harmony under the guidance of Maestro Filippo Daccò.
It is also specialized with Joe Pass, Mick Goodrick, Jim Hall, Mike Stern, Joe Diorio,
Ferenck Snetherghcr and Berkley Summer. Start the job of twenty years and since then
performs numerous concerts both in Italy and abroad participating in the most important
festivals of jazz and blues music in Europe. His style is based on a mix of jazz-bebop
and gypsy-jazz without ever forgetting the lessons of the blues and with a constant
attention to the more modern styles of jazz guitar.
